One crew, two trades
Most kitchen projects in New Mexico involve at least two companies who have never worked together: someone who installs cabinetry and someone else who fabricates stone. When something does not line up, each explains why it is the other one’s fault, and the homeowner is left holding a gap and two phone numbers.
We run both sides. Cabinets are built in our Edgewood shop; countertops are templated against those cabinets after we have set and leveled them, then cut and polished in the same building. If something is off, it is ours, and there is nobody to point at. That is not a marketing angle. It is the actual reason the business is structured this way.
Owner on every job
Jesus measures your kitchen, lays out your slab, and is on site for the install. There is no sales rep who disappears after the contract and no subcontract crew seeing your kitchen for the first time. One point of contact from the first measurement to the final walkthrough, and the phone number on this site rings in his pocket.
Where we are
The shop is at 2369 Old Hwy 66, Edgewood, NM 87015, on the old Route 66 alignment where I-40 meets the Turquoise Trail. It is a working fabrication shop rather than a showroom, which means you can come put your hands on the actual slab that is going into your kitchen before we cut it, and see your cabinets on the bench. Call ahead at (505) 203-5508 and we will make sure someone is there.
What we tell people
We would rather talk you out of the wrong material than argue about it later. That means saying marble will etch in a kitchen, that engineered quartz can shift color under unfiltered high-altitude sun, and that particleboard boxes which have already met water are not worth refacing. Some of those conversations cost us a bigger sale. All of them save a callback.
Commercial and hospitality
Alongside residential work we fabricate and install for hotels and commercial properties, including Hilton, Holiday Inn, Marriott Pyramid North, Homewood Suites, and Markana Uptown. Hotel renovation is the most demanding version of this trade: brand-standard specifications, dozens of identical tops that must match, and a floor-by-floor schedule written by a general contractor. A shop that can do that reliably brings the same discipline to a single-family kitchen. More on commercial work →
How we build
- Countertops: laser-templated after cabinets are set, cut on our CNC, seams planned on the slab with you, sealed at install.
- Cabinets: three-quarter-inch plywood boxes, built to measured walls, sprayed catalyzed finish, soft-close and full-extension hardware standard.
- Install: the same crew that measured and built, with the plumber and electrician coordinated so the kitchen is down for hours, not weeks.
- Pricing: one written number that includes everything, after a free on-site measurement. The ranges are on the pricing guide.
How we build cabinets
Custom does not mean expensive for its own sake. It means the box is built to the wall you actually have, in the increment you actually need, rather than the closest three-inch stock size plus a filler strip. In a region where very few walls are square and ceiling heights change room to room, that is usually the difference between a kitchen that looks fitted and one that looks installed.
- Boxes. Three-quarter-inch plywood, not particleboard. Particleboard that has met water once — a slow dishwasher leak, a sink trap drip — swells and never recovers. Plywood survives it.
- Doors and drawer fronts. Shaker, flat-slab, raised panel, or inset. Paint-grade maple or poplar, stain-grade alder, hickory, oak, or walnut. Knotty alder is the regional favorite for a reason: it takes a warm stain and hides the dings of a real household.
- Hardware. Soft-close hinges and full-extension undermount drawer slides as standard. Not an upgrade.
- Finish. Sprayed in the shop, not brushed on site. Conversion varnish over stain, or a catalyzed enamel over paint. It is the difference between a finish that holds up to fifteen years of hands and one that chips at the pulls in two.
- Layout. Drawers where you reach down, doors where you reach up. Pull-outs for trash and spices. A pantry that uses the full height of the wall. This is the part that makes a kitchen work, and it is the part a catalog cannot do.
Typical installed pricing runs $350–$900 per linear ft installed depending on wood species, door style, and how much of the run is drawers. Full details on custom cabinets →
What homeowners say
We hold a 4.0-star rating on Google, and the reviews behind it come from the same towns we list on this site. Read them on our Google Business Profile, then ask us for the phone number of a recent customer near you. We would rather you hear it from a neighbor than from us.
How a project runs with us
- Call or send the form. Jesus answers, asks what you are trying to do, and books a time to come measure.
- On-site measurement and a straight conversation. We look at the room, the plumbing, the walls, and how you cook. If a material is wrong for your situation, this is where we say so.
- One written number. Template, fabrication, tear-out, install, haul-away, sealing. No per-item surprises after the fact.
- Slab or sample approval. For natural stone you see the actual slab and where the cuts land. For cabinets you approve a door sample and a finish chip.
- Fabrication in Edgewood. Cabinets built and finished in the shop. Countertops laser-templated once the cabinets are set and level, then cut on the CNC and polished.
- Install by the same crew. The people who measured are the people who build and the people who install. One point of contact from first visit to final walkthrough.
Countertop-only projects typically run one to two weeks from template to install. Full cabinet packages run four to eight weeks depending on wood and finish. A complete kitchen remodel is usually six to ten weeks once materials are approved.
